What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Some are needed for the site to function; others measure usage or support advertising.

What we use

  • Strictly necessary. Session and security cookies, and a cookie recording your light or dark theme preference. These do not require consent.
  • Analytics. Used to count visits and understand which articles are read. [Name your analytics provider and retention period.]
  • Advertising. Used by advertising partners to measure and, where you consent, personalise ads. [List your partners.]

This site also stores a short-lived value in your browser to avoid counting the same reader twice in an article’s view count. It contains no personal information.

Managing cookies

You can change your choices at any time through the consent banner, and you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may break parts of the site.
