IOI Journal is an independent English-language publication covering world affairs, business, technology, sport, travel, health, lifestyle and entertainment. We publish for readers in the United States, the United Kingdom and everywhere else that reads in English.
What we do
Most of what we publish is explanatory. When a story is dominated by jargon, competing claims or unstated assumptions, our job is to set out what is actually known, what is contested, and what follows from it. We would rather publish one clear piece a day than ten that add nothing.
Our sections are:
- World — international affairs, politics, conflict and diplomacy
- Business — markets, money, work and the economics behind the headlines
- Technology — consumer technology, AI, security and the products people use
- Sports — football, motorsport, athletics and the business of professional sport
- Travel — destinations, flights, hotels and practical guidance
- Health — evidence-led coverage of medicine, nutrition and wellbeing
- Lifestyle — food, style, home and the way people live now
- Entertainment — film, television, streaming and the industry behind them
How we work
Every article carries a named byline and a visible publication date. Where a piece is substantially updated, the update date is shown alongside the original. Our full standards are set out in our editorial policy, and our process for fixing mistakes is on the corrections page.
Health articles are general information and are not a substitute for individual medical advice. Financial articles are general information and are not personalised financial advice.
How we are funded
IOI Journal is funded by advertising and by commercial partnerships. Any content produced or paid for by a commercial partner is labelled as such and is never presented as independent editorial. The details are on our advertising page.
