Netflix Cancels ‘The Brothers Sun’ After Just One Season

Netflix has pulled the plug on their series ‘The Brothers Sun’ which made it’s premier on the entertainment streaming platform back in January, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The series that was created by Brad Falchuk and Byron Wu, which last only one season and eight-episodes, starred Michelle Yeoh, Justin Chien, Sam Song Li,  Joon Lee, Highdee Kuan, Alice Hewkin, Jenny Yang, Rodney To and Madison Hu.

According to the officials synopsis: “When the head of a Taiwanese triad is shot by an assassin, his eldest son, Charles `Chairleg’ Sun, heads to Los Angeles to protect his mother and brother, who’s been completely sheltered from the truth of his family until now.”

‘Masters of the Universe’ Live Action Reboot Set to Arrive in 2026

After many, many years there will finally be a live-action reboot of the classic ‘Masters of the Universe’ which is currently scheduled to hit theaters on June 5th, 2026 and will be directed by Travis Knight, according to Deadline.

Mattel Films’ Robbie Brenner, and Escape Artists’ Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal, and Steve Tisch are producing while Chris Butler is working on the screenplay.

According to the reported synopsis: “The movie follows ten-year-old Prince Adam who crashed to Earth in a spaceship and was separated from his magical Power Sword—the only link to his home on Eternia. After tracking it down almost two decades later, Prince Adam is whisked back across space to defend his home planet against the evil forces of Skeletor. But to defeat such a powerful villain, Prince Adam will first need to uncover the mysteries of his past and become He-Man: the most powerful man in the Universe.”

While the film had been in limbo for several years with Sony initially attached and then Netflix, it is now coming to life at Amazon MGM.

Selena Gomez Starring in New Food Network Show ‘Selena + Restaurant’

The Food Network is rolling out a brand new show starring Selena Gomez called ‘Selena + Restaurant’ which will take viewers into the culinary world of Los Angeles and highlight some of the area’s hotspots.

Some of those hotspots include Lemon Grove, Ms Chi, Alta, CUT Steakhouse and more, and the new show is set to make it’s premier exclusively on Food Network on May 2nd and start the journey of visiting 6 LA based restaurants.

The new show premiers with two episodes, with the first episode featuring Puck at his Beverly Hills restaurant CUT Steakhouse and the second episode featuring Chung at her Culver City spot Ms Chi.

“After cooking mostly virtually from my kitchen with some of the best chefs for the last four years, I was thrilled to step into their world,” Gomez said in an official release. “You’ll have to see if being in person helped my skills at all.”

Electric Light Orchestra Keyboardist Richard Tandy Dies at 76

The keyboardist for British rock band Electric Light Orchestra Richard Tandy has died at the age of 76, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Electric Light Orchestra’s frontman and leader Jeff Lynne, officially announced Tandy’s death on social media on Wednesday: “It is with great sadness that I share the news of the passing of my long-time collaborator and dear friend Richard Tandy. He was a remarkable musician & friend and I’ll cherish the lifetime of memories we had together. Sending all my love to Sheila & the Tandy family.”

Tandy first joined Electric Light Orchestra, and was among the three core members, following the release of the band’s first album in 1972 playing bass guitar before eventually moving to the keyboard following the exit of another member of the band.

ELO was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2017.
