Joseph Quinn Set to Star in ‘A Quiet Place: Day One’

Joseph Quinn, the breakout star from the latest season of Netflix’s smash hit series ‘Stranger Things’, is currently in talks to join the cast of ‘A Quiet Place: Day One’, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The brand new Paramount project will be led by Lupita Nyong’o and is a spinoff of 2018’s ‘A Quiet Place’ which was a surprise hit and vaulted director and star John Krasinski among the up and coming film content creators.

Krasinski’s movie earned $340.9 million on a $17 million budget, with the sequel dropping in 2021 and earning $297.3 million.

Michael Sarnoski, known for his film ‘Pig’ starring Nicolas Cage, will direct the film that is due out on March 8th, 2024.

Michael Bay, Andrew Form and Brad Fuller will produce via Platinum Dunes. Krasinski will produce via his Sunday Night banner with partner Allyson Seeger executive producing.

Selena Gomez Starring in New Food Network Show ‘Selena + Restaurant’

The Food Network is rolling out a brand new show starring Selena Gomez called ‘Selena + Restaurant’ which will take viewers into the culinary world of Los Angeles and highlight some of the area’s hotspots.

Some of those hotspots include Lemon Grove, Ms Chi, Alta, CUT Steakhouse and more, and the new show is set to make it’s premier exclusively on Food Network on May 2nd and start the journey of visiting 6 LA based restaurants.

The new show premiers with two episodes, with the first episode featuring Puck at his Beverly Hills restaurant CUT Steakhouse and the second episode featuring Chung at her Culver City spot Ms Chi.

“After cooking mostly virtually from my kitchen with some of the best chefs for the last four years, I was thrilled to step into their world,” Gomez said in an official release. “You’ll have to see if being in person helped my skills at all.”

Electric Light Orchestra Keyboardist Richard Tandy Dies at 76

The keyboardist for British rock band Electric Light Orchestra Richard Tandy has died at the age of 76, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Electric Light Orchestra’s frontman and leader Jeff Lynne, officially announced Tandy’s death on social media on Wednesday: “It is with great sadness that I share the news of the passing of my long-time collaborator and dear friend Richard Tandy. He was a remarkable musician & friend and I’ll cherish the lifetime of memories we had together. Sending all my love to Sheila & the Tandy family.”

Tandy first joined Electric Light Orchestra, and was among the three core members, following the release of the band’s first album in 1972 playing bass guitar before eventually moving to the keyboard following the exit of another member of the band.

ELO was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2017.

Rosie O’Donnell Joins Cast of ‘And Just Like That’ for Season 3

Rosie O’Donnell is joining the cast for the third season of ‘And Just Like That’ and the veteran comedian and actress took to Instagram to share the front cover of the script for the upcoming season’s premiere episode with fans.

During the post, O’Donnell revealed that her character’s name is ‘Mary’ – “here comes mary #andjustlikethat @hbo”

O’Donnell joins the ‘Sex and the City’ spinoff with a cast including series originals Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis. The new season is currently scheduled to premier sometime in 2025.
